How Zephyr Unified Their Entire AI Workflow

The Challenge

Modulus was spending over $4,700 a month on three different AI platforms. Each developer had their own favorite tool, and there was zero sharing happening. The engineering lead was totally in the dark about what was actually being used or why the bills kept climbing every month.

James on the challenge

I just realized we paid for the same AI features three times! No one communicated because everyone assumed someone else had it covered. It’s frustrating to see such poor communication in the team.

The Solution

Modulus moved their entire team onto Snacks in a single afternoon. Within 48 hours every developer was working from one shared workspace, switching between GPT, Claude, and Gemini without losing a single line of context.

James on the solution

The onboarding took less time than our weekly standup. By the next morning the whole team was in Snacks and nobody wanted to go back.

The Results

• Monthly AI spend dropped from $4,700 to $2,800

• 3 separate tool subscriptions cancelled within a week

• Average developer saved 8 hours per week on context switching

• Team shipped their next feature release 11 days ahead of schedule
